2 Chronicles 26:19 meaning

Uzziah, also known as Azariah, was a king who reigned in Judah and initially followed God's ways, achieving great military and economic success. However, his, pride led him to overstep divine boundaries by offering incense in the temple, a role designated solely for the priests. When confronted by Azariah the priest and other faithful priests, Uzziah became angry and refused to relinquish the censer he held, demonstrating a significant disregard for God’s ordained structure. The consequences of his defiance were swift and severe.

In this moment of arrogance, Uzziah was struck with leprosy that manifested on his forehead while still within the temple. This act signified God's judgment against his hubris, and it isolated Uzziah from society and religious life, forcing him to live in a separate house for the remainder of his days.
