2 Samuel 5:4 meaning

At the age of thirty, David ascended to the throne, marking a pivotal moment not just for himself but for all of Israel. This was not merely a political achievement; it was the fulfillment of God’s divine plan. As David took on the mantle of kingship, he embodied the role of a shepherd—one who leads, nurtures, and protects.
