John 21:6 meaning

In a poignant moment after His resurrection, Jesus meets His disciples while they are fishing on the Sea of Tiberias. Having toiled all night without success, they were likely feeling disheartened and at a loss. It is at this point that Jesus, standing on the shore, instructs them to cast their nets on the right side of the boat. The command appears absurd to seasoned fishermen who had already proven their expertise yet saw no results from their efforts.

This seemingly simple act of obedience—casting the net on the right side—yields an overwhelming catch, demonstrating a profound lesson about divine provision and reliance on Christ’s guidance.
