Luke 24:22 meaning

In the post-resurrection narrative of Christ, the disciples express their profound disappointment after His crucifixion. They had hoped that Jesus was the one to redeem Israel, but the emptiness they felt after His death reveals their misunderstanding of His mission. The mention of the empty tomb by some women fails to lift their spirits; instead, their disillusionment deepens.
