Luke 9:24 meaning

Discipleship according to Jesus comes at a significant cost, demanding profound personal sacrifice. Often, individuals wish to follow Christ while still holding onto their own ambitions and desires. However, Jesus makes it clear that true discipleship involves self-denial and the willingness to endure hardship. Taking up one’s cross symbolizes the burdens and challenges faced when fully committing to Christ's path. This act of following Him is not a one-time event; it must be a consistent, daily choice that reflects a life oriented toward God's will rather than personal gain.
