Exodus Route

Exodus Route

This map shows the route of the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt toward Mount Sinai, beginning in the region of Rameses and Succoth and moving toward the border of Egypt before entering the wilderness. The zoomed-in portion highlights possible locations near Goshen, Etham, Migdol, and the lakes or waterways associated with Israel's departure and the crossing from Egyptian control. The larger map then traces the journey through the Wilderness of Shur/Etham, the Wilderness of Sin, Rephidim/Kadesh-barnea, and toward Mount Sinai, showing the difficult desert terrain Israel traveled after God delivered them from slavery. The journey reveals the LORD's guidance and protection during the exodus, as He led His people out of bondage, through the wilderness, and toward Sinai, where He would give them His law and formally establish them as His covenant nation.
